Today looks like the typical monday: cold, rainy and horrible. Let’s pretend it’s still sunday and listen to some smooth soothing tunes.

Yeah I know Saturday night fun with alcohol, cigarettes and dirty talk is long gone; it’s like Sunday night and I should probably be posting to chill out to, but whatevs.
So stupid and over the top it works.

Was 1979 that good? These two tracks mention it so it must have been pretty banging. I can just imagine my parents being in their early 20’s and wearing cool disco clothes…

After a week and a half spent frolicking with the bf (seafood, deserted beaches, long walks) in south west France I am now ready to face a new year. Yes, a long time after leaving school, everything still starts for me in September.
Once again I am to off to a lovely holiday under the sun.

Someone said somewhere (I have absolutely no recollection of where I read this, forgive me) that when you start dating someone and you both take up a new interest for a tv series and watch it together on a regular basis, chances are that the relationship is bound to develop.
I am just glad we picked The Sopranos beacuse if it had been The Wire (snore, zzzzz), I’m not sure things would have turned out the same.
I never really paid any attention to The Sopranos at the time it was actually showing-I didn’t even know I could have a interest in organised crime in New Jersey, so I have a lot to catch up with. I’ve been obsessively checking my mailbox for series 4 to arrive and I’m getting impatient for our next Sopranos night.

One day I took Sebastien Tellier to la Défense and it looked like this.

One of the records I probably play the most when I’m at home is the “Mutant Disco” compilation from Ze Records. It’s seriously banging, and how could you ever get tired of Kid Creole and the Coconuts, French Boys or Cristina?
I had randomly bought it whilst on a weekend in Florence in 2006 for just 5 euros (also bagged the Mutant Disco ‘Garage Sale’ at the same time) and fuck, it was probably the best value for money ever.
Working for Ze would have been the dream job wouldn’t it? This is a tribute:
